Daima - Super Luxury Yacht

Leading the way in the latest design wave of superyachts is the 139-foot performance motor sailer, S/Y DAIMA. The pride of her Antalya shipyard, DAIMA was designed and built in Turkey combining the best of Turkish and New Zealand boat building know-how. She is indeed a world’s first as she has all the performance characteristics of a modern superyacht with a traditional hull design that lends a classically elegant air. DAIMA's hi-tech rigging and sails ensure exciting and memorable passages under sail, while her twin engines will also see her swiftly to the next port. The yacht has a very welcoming interior, beautifully appointed to mirror the classical elegance of the exterior, with tasteful furnishings in cool creams and muted metallics. A party of up to ten guests is accommodated in resounding comfort in five attractively furnished cabins: a full-beam master suite, a VIP double guest suite, a further double guest suite and two twin guest suites. Crew Profile

Captain Stephen Johnson has been credited with giving DAIMA some of her most outstanding design features - the benefit of his 30 years experience coming to the fore during the final phases of her construction in 2008. New Zealander Steve is a qualified Yachtmaster and Divemaster with extensive experience in nearly all regions of the world. Having circumnavigated the globe twice, crossed the Atlantic eight times and taken the helm throughout numerous varied crossings in the South Pacific, South-East Asia, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, Steve is now the main overseer of day-to-day operations aboard DAIMA. Stepping into the role of project manager for the construction of DAIMA nine months prior to her launch has provided Steve with a extremely intimate knowledge of the yacht and all of her systems. Steve's expertise also extends to the careful direction of his 6 crew members, each of which are highly trained in their area of expertise.
