| Captain Nadir Gok was born in 1969 and during the course for the past 20 years, which he has spent exclusively in the field of charter, he has risen through the ranks from deckhand to steward to second captain and eventually, captain. Nadir is very likable and easy-going; his English-speaking skills allowing him to converse easily with his guests and his many years of sailing experience enabling him to plan ahead to ensure timely arrivals into each lively port or quiet anchorage.
First Mate, Galip Turhan, was born and raised on the sea. In his guest relations role as host, Galip excels at organizing special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries; games for children; exciting shore excursions and watersports activities. With his intimate knowledge of M/S MARE NOSTRUM, genuine warmth of nature, fluency in English and excellent attitude to service, Galip is the perfect host. Galip is a local, having been born in Marmaris in 1984.
Chef, Mr. Zek is an international chef with 35 years' experience. The one-time proprietor of his own restaurant in Marmaris, Mr. Zek brings a wealth of knowledge and culinary arts skills to his position as Chef onboard MARE NOSTRUM. As Mr. Zek speaks English, guests can easily discuss their menu preferences with him and perhaps even enjoy an impromptu cooking lesson!
Chief Steward, Hasan Dorter was born in 1983 and gained a good level of both English language and service skills while working in hotels in the United States. He was able to hone these skills while working in numerous high profile restaurants here in Turkey, consequently gaining an appreciation of the art of table service. This well-cultivated service attitude is characterized by a genuine concern for the comfort and well-being of guests.
Stewardess, Esra Gunuc has worked as "housekeeper" aboard charter gulets for a number of years. On board MARE NOSTRUM, Esra provides the same discreet service, assisting with any laundry requirements and providing a turndown service if required.
Deckhand, Savas Korkmaz is an experienced member of the ship's personnel who helps to ensure the smooth running of the yacht while under sail or at anchor. He is 29 years old and has been working in this position for 8 years.
Engineer, Idris Can was born in 1965. While working for 20 years aboard a variety of yachts, both large and small, Idris has gained successfully the requisite experience - as well as extreme confidence - in the role of ship's mechanic. |
